Quickly go open it up and pour a glass!! Lol. I love it but I’m also a Balvenie fan in general. Silky on the palate and I find some vanilla sweetness comes through along with something fruity. I’m not advanced enough to name the fruit exactly but def has something there. Just all around damn good and can’t beat it for $50.

Anyone have a suggestion of a place to check for this Rare Breed Rye? I’m a huge WT fan and I love ryes. I’ve been looking but no dice. Was curious is there was any place that is worth checking more than others? I’m guessing it’s more about being in right place at right time. I’ve worked a good relationship with a local supermarket owner. Hoping it pays off.

I tried to order a case of the WT rye and I was told laffy got 6 bottles....they let me get one.

I don’t pick up on the run much but I’m not a rum drinker so maybe I’m just not familiar with the flavor profile. I don’t find it overly sweet at all but really balanced. The thing that got me is the $50 price tag. Like I said most places still have this bottle on the shelf $75-$85. At $50 it’s a steal.

TA do you have a guess or any info on when that round may be?
I’m a big Rye and Wild Turkey fan so I’m curious to try it. I’m also a big Balcones fan. Really enjoy a lot of their releases. Liked their bourbon but no so much their rye.
