Oh my parents are friends with a Veron , who's from Lafayette. Maybe his family's brand of it. I have tried the crawfish filled Andouille and it was great

I like Savoie's...also Richard's is some good stuff. Never had Veron.

Jacob's Andouille is the best I've found in Louisiana. Savoie's is shite, IMO.

Verons is ok, Savoies and Richards are avg at best..
The best is from the LaPlace area. Jacobs,Baileys
Finding good andouille in Laffy/opelousas area is like finding good boudin in the laplace area.. they just do it better in their area.

Savoies is one of the best brands that is not made by a grocery butcher. I live in Atlanta and use Savoies.
Grew up in Lafayette and we always used Heleauxs, NuNu's or Verons.

Some of the best I have found is from Best Stop in Scott. I have to stop every few months to stock up.

We make the trip to Laplace from BR several times a year to go to Jacobs, it's worth it.

Big differance between commercial produced and packaged Andouille and local meat market/smokehouse.
Savoies is OK..not great
I prefer Martins myself.
Local stuff- make mine Meche's from Opelousas

All of the Savoie's, Richard's, etc pre-packaged brands of sausage/andouille are alright if that is all you can get. If you want the GOOD STUFF, you have to hit the local FRESH meat markets/butcher shops of South Louisiana. Most places have websites & will ship you the good stuff. Personally, the only use I have for any of the Savoie's or Richard's pre-packaged products is grilling them, won't put them in any homemade dishes-ie. gumbo, sauces, etc. Once you have the fresh homemade stuff, you won't go back to the pre-packaged stuff.

Laplace is the andouille capital of the world.
In New Orleans, Butcher makes a pretty good andouille.

And like I said.. LaPlace area is where you get Andouille NOT Lafayette area.
NuNus makes good sausage and good boudin. But their andouille is just not on the same level as Jacobs or Baileys or Dons (Forgot to include them in orig list)
Same goes for Verons never had Heleauxs though.
