Ranking Johnny's based on their buffet is like trying to rank a steakhouse based on their dish water. Order a 14" (non-party pizza) with extra cheese and only then will you get the hype.

I haven't tried it yet so I can't form an opinion but its weird to see all the Monroe people coming on here saying it's the best when its all you probably have up there.

You act like we never leave Ouachita Parish. I've lived in Baton Rouge, Cayman Islands, Portland Maine, Tulsa, and spent a lot of time in DC and Orlando. Granted these aren't culinary giants but enough for a decent perspective. Only place that rivaled Johnny's, IMO, was a local place in Maine.

I don't really make it to NYC that regularly so I say no.
Louisiana ? Absolutely.

If I'm eating out....Alesi's, Deano's, Pizza V, Johnny's.

If I'm picking up or getting delivered.....Johnny's, Alesi's, Deano's, Pizza V.

It honestly floors me that anyone gets pizza from Pizza Village, ever. The topping quality is embarrassing. I think I would prefer Papa John's.

Anyway, I've never had Johnny's, but of the others, it's Deano's, Alesis, ..., ..., ..., Pizza Village, and only because you're making me.

I lived in West Monroe for 5 years and love Johnny's up there. I wish the one in BR was better so people could see what I'm talking about. I don't recommend going to the BR location to anyone.

Pizza Village - old school thin crust pepperoni has tasted the same for 40 years.

I wish Tigerlee and all the other Johnny's fanboys would get this through their heads. Every time someone disses the one in br, they come in with their whole its the best in LA spiel. The one here fricking sucks, and it doesn't matter what you order. I live across the street from it basically and would much rather drive down Staring to get Dominos.

I will say this again: judging Johnny's when you've only eaten at the BR one is like saying redheads are disgusting when the only one you've ever seen is Kathy Griffin

While I am not disagreeing with you about this, I guess that those of us who have eaten at the Johnny's in NELA will always have to chime in about how good it is - because it IS very good.

Deano's is my favorite. Not crazy about Pizza Village.

Rochetto's in Scott has good pizza also.

I always read about Johnny's on this board, so when I was working in North LA a couple years ago, tried the one in Bossier and in Farmerville. Unimpressed. Sorry.

Deano's in Lafayette is good, as is LaPizzaria, in my opinion.

However, the "Cajun Spice" from Romacelli's in Lafayette is my favorite pizza. Pepperoni, sausage, shrimp, onions, bell peppers
peppers and jalapenos.

As I've said before I don't go to BR for pizza.
I have-not eaten at the BR location, so I can't vouch for it.
But I can the rest in north la.. Apparently the one in st martinville and Hammond are on par with the north la locations.
Sorry you getting the shaft in BR bro... Sucks for you.
