I dunno, probably the one trying to start an argument with another poster? Last time I checked you have no vested interest in Parish. And as I've repeatedly said, I whole-heartedly support Parish. I just wish they made some different decisions with their distribution. Sorry that's apparently so offensive to you.

How? What should they do/have done differently?
Skip BR and go to NOLA first?

As I said earlier,
IMO FWIW VCR DVD
And also like I said earlier, this has been an issue for years. Why can't they get products into NOLA IF they are selling as well as people seem to indicate they are? You don't just sell product and generate no revenue. Theoretically that revenue can be used to expand facilities and then distribution (and magically make fermentation tanks appear). So why isn't it happening? I think that's a very legitimate question. And I think questioning their distribution plan when they're still avoiding the largest market in the state is also not unfounded. Maybe someone has some legitimate insight into that. I'd love to hear that. But don't give me that they can't keep up with Lafayette and BR argument unless you have numbers to support it.

But they can make it to the beer wasteland that is Alexandria? Now THERE'S a market that won't show dividends. Go south, not north

Not craft beer
Of course that's a generalization. But it's more the rule than the exception.

They just expanded their building to increase production according to ham.

Bring me one since you're apparently coming to NOLA tomorrow

I doubt that the amount they are sending to Alexandria would be enough to cover the NOLA market, and I believe it was mentioned earlier that they are not going into a market without being able to fully support it.
which has happened once already to allow them to make beers like Ghost In The Machine and Hoptagon and Grand Reserve while still cranking out their everyday line-up. It also allowed them to expand into BR, and send kegs to other areas.
I don't have numbers but I don't think Andrew is avoiding NOLA out of some grudge against the city, so it is probably because of supply.

I was going to post this and riff on it myself, but I figured I'd said enough. I agree with you. I've heard that statement about only wanting to expand if they can fully support the market before today and before B suggested it, so I'm sure it's true. That being said, I would contest it. If you can partially fulfill the NOLA market, I would think that's potentially going to generate a more positive effect than supplying the whole need of the Alexandria market. In the stories that carry Parish products in Alexandria I see a whooooooooole lot of dusty bottles and cases sitting in the stockroom. To me that's lost profit. That shite will move in NOLA, and I can imagine situations where places like Stein's would post instagram pics whenever they get shipments in assuming the product is moving. They've done it for Parade Grounds Porter. This perceived scarcity could further drive up demand, thereby potentially increasing draft sales, building greater brand recognition, and possibly increasing demand for their bigger bottles as well. I'll admit that this is conjecture, but it seems plausible. To me it just seems like a general win for them. But I guess that's just not their business model. I don't have to like that, however.

Didn't mean to suggest that, just that the phases of the rollout and logic behind them were less than transparent to me.

At least we get the beers that count.
