Where might a find a gator tail to cook in July

I have to cook for a function in July and would like a small gator tail. Unfortunately that's just before gator season opens so I can't catch one myself legally, and I certainly don't want to draw any green jeans attention to myself since this shindig is at my camp. I know I could just buy some gator meat but I as hoping to get an entire tail from a small gator. I think the crowd I'm cooking for would like the idea of it. I'm in the Covington area. Anybody know of a farm where I could get a custom order like that?

Try the swamps or bayous.

I have some entry level type of mercenaries who all drive lifted pickup trucks (code name: baws) who may be able to assist

There are several farms that sell gator meat. I'm sure google can put you in touch with one of them.

This is the correct answer. It’s either going to be frozen or you can try and get it from a farm. Honestly though no one would be able to tell the difference between fresh and frozen.

Under the Hwy 413 bridge in Jarreau. Seen him on a log there, perfect size. Damn fish eating reptilian scum.

Or the difference between fresh, frozen, or a pile or rotting garbage.

TY my good sir, I didn't see this pop up on a google search. For everyone else, I quite enjoyed the answers.
Unfortunately my local green jeans recently retired, and although he wouldn't tolerate any nefarious activity he'd gotten easy to predict. These two new young fellas have got to be figured out before the locals will play ball.

It’s always gator season. Just go shoot one.

Hey now it’s not that bad. Lol
It’s really more of a novelty than anything. But it definitely needs to be soaked in buttermilk to knock some of that taste down.
