Where can I get the biggest, juiciest, fried oysters on a po-boy?

I’m talking the ones that look like they’ve been on steroids. Hammond used to have a place called Big Bear’s around 2001 that carried them but they closed.

Casementos oyster loaf. Not a poboy exactly, but they will be better than anybody else’s fried oysters.

Had an oyster PB at parkway on Wednesday. It was loaded and great. Although not giant oysters as you desire.

Probably Seithers in Harahan.

Fried Oysters is one of the things Roux 61 actually gets right. Their Peacemaker is fantastic.

While maybe not the “biggest” or “juiciest”, the one I had at Pat’s rest a while was very good.

I would second Seither's in Harahan, and add Parenton's and Crabby Jacks.

Had some at Frankie and Johnnys the other day and they were absolutely fantastic. Matter of fact...it may have been the best fried oysters that I've ever had.

I'm just curious why you want huge oysters? Fried oysters I actually prefer to be small to medium. If they are too small I get it, its all batter

Can't go wrong at Rocky & Carlos in da Parish. You get an oyster po-boy from them and chase it down with an ice cold beer or bottle of Barq's and that is more than you need for a very filling meal.
