Maybe not inside the actual church, but on church grounds definitely happen.

The account was relatively dormant for 10 plus years and in the past few months started spamming multiple new threads a week and sometimes a day. Not sure what to make of it.

I worked with a guy at a Baxter facility (Hyland Diagnostics) in Round Lake, IL way back when. We always ate at Murphy's Tap in Volo, IL on Fridays. He always impressed me in that he was able to drink 5 or 6 beers during a 30-45 minute lunch. He had Murphy bring them three at a time.

Murphy made a burger called the Bog Burger. It was ground beef and swiss cheese with caramelized onions on a Dark bread bun with bread and butter pickles and grainy mustard. Murphy was an Archie Bunker looking guy who spoke with such a strong Irish accent, you thought you were back in the old country.

He had no deep fryer at his bar so you got potato chips with your burger. We would take folks who had never been there and tell them before leaving for lunch that Murphy cooked the world's best fries and loved to joke that he didn't serve them when you ordered fries with your food. It was always fun to watch Murphy throw a cursing Irishman's fit when they would order fries.

Evidently, back in 1978, it was OK to brink a few beers at lunch on a Friday. Just never order fries.

You're aggy, so that means you sip half of a High Life and complain about how buzzed you are.

Drink the right beers. Guinness is 4.25%, Smithwick's is not much more. Drink a few of those, or drink one Delerium at 8.5%. Whatever you're going to maintain with, drink that.

I always let work colleagues get one drink ahead of me before I started. Probably decent advice?

the trick is to pour it into a large coffee mug and pretend to blow on it to cool it off occassionally

...not that I'd know anything about that

...yes I do
