Simply Grapefruit and vodka
Rum and tonic

I've never had rum and tonic. I'd sub the vodka with gin, but solid ideas!

Grapefruit vodka after a day of fishing is ridiculously refreshing. The problem is that most grapefruit juice sucks, so I'll only drink it if it's Simply.

This is my go-to fishing camp drink but only if I can find Simply brand which is harder than it seems.

Makes a huge difference. You can pour a mighty strong drink with that combination.

Mount Gay and tonic with lime is a fantastic summer drink.

I stick to mostly beer so Gose, Berliners, Radlers are the styles I like when it is blistering hot out. Although a cold Envie is tough to beat. If I'm drinking liquor it is a margarita or a Kentucky/Mexican mule.

1 1/2 oz White rum, 1/2 oz Simple syrup, 1 oz Lime juice

Pour all ingredients into shaker with ice cubes. Shake well. Strain in chilled cocktail glass.

I love a good mint julep on a sweltering hot day. I make them in a quart mason jar. A little more mint and sugar than normal, but almost zero added water. Let the bourbon and ice do the talking.

I did have an excellent bourbon berry lemonade the other day. Basically a muddled strawberry with lemon, fresh squeezed lemon juice, water, simple syrup, half the bourbon in with ice and shake. Bourbon on ice in a fresh glass, pour the drink over it, topped with a mint leaf.

I know it's against the "rules", but I find myself drinking considerably more hard liqour earlier when the heat is up.

Beer just isn't as refreshing to me.

Lemonade-Cranberry-Malibu

It's a killer refreshing drink for sitting at the pool. It's nothing fancy (Malibu!) but it compliments the sun very well

I'm also a big fan of a good Tito's mule
