What's your go-to cocktail when you plan on having a few drinks?

I'm a fan of an Old Fashioned.

Is there a non-sipping cocktail?

I do like an Old Fashioned too.

But usually, it's just bourbon.

I like a Pimm's Cup if I'm planning on a few.

If in mood for something simple and bourbon (usually am), old fashion.

If I'm in mood for something a little more complicated corpse reviver.

Brown: old fashioned or a Sazerac.

Clear: gin with the tiniest splash of tonic

Serious? Slice blood orange, muddle Luxardo, sugar and bitters. Grab ice. Pour bourbon. Add another cherry and some honey. That takes at least 3 mins.

I rather just pour the bourbon and eat the luxardos from the jar.

I may just be getting old and prefer the bourbon on the rocks. Can't frick that up.

Nothing wrong some bourbon on the rocks... it's just not a cocktail.

For in-home consumption I make a double or triple to start so I don't have to keep making new drinks.

I don't muddle.

Put ice ball and luxardo in glass, add bitters and simple syrup, pour bourbon, squeeze peel over.

For the record I am probably 5/1 neat (maybe cube) vs mixing.

When I'm working around the house, it's a triple of Beam with a splash of diet coke. It's as good as Gatorade.
