What’s your favorite homemade burger?

I’ve finally found what I crave out of a burger at home, and grillmasters withold your judgment until the end.
Costco beef
Small patties, a few hours before grilling cover in soy sauce, not liberally but a good bit
Right before cooking add a touch of steak seasoning
Cast iron skillet and smash them damn patties down thin
Add cheese, fried onion twisty things that go on green bean casserole, and Stubbs BBQ sauce
What’s yours? I’m all about trying new burgers

Smashburgers with SPG w/ cheese and toasted bun. I cook down onions in SPG and olive oil, add bacon and sliced pickle.
Last weekend, no bacon that time

Burger, provolone, caramelized onion & mushroom, bacon, maybe avocado. Usually bunless with a little burger sauce (mayo, mustard, ketchup, Worcestershire, pepper)

A bacon and swiss burger with mustard is not congruent with civilized society.
And if it's on brioche, you can't call yourself a high plains drifter.

All of that and you put mustard on the burger instead of mayonnaise? That’s some twisted tastebuds you have.

Serial downvoters apparently don’t care for onions or mushrooms

Oklahoma onion burgers on the griddle lately. With cheese. My wife prefers a brioche bun, but I think a regular bun works just as well. My wife makes a burger sauce we serve with them. Not sure what all is in the sauce, but it’s got cornichons and a bit of jalapeño.
But I do like a good, simple 80/20 burger on the Weber.

Just a couple of good ole 80/20 smash burgers on the blackstone
2-3 oz patties smashed down….salt and pepper
Butter bun and grill
I add grilled onions, lettuce, raw onion and pickles
And spread!!
But the trick is to wrap in aluminum foil for 4-5 mins…..perfect

A few weeks ago I would have said smashburgers. But then I had a Juicy Lucy at a place out in Phoenix and had to try to replicate it at home. I have a new favorite.
The stack:
*Bottom of good hamburger bun, buttered and grilled (bakery style)
*Famous Dave's dill pickle chips (best pickle chips I've had from a store)
*Well seasoned ground chuck (worcestire, onion powder, Montreal seasoning, lil' MSG) stuffed with a quartered slice of pepper jack cheese
*Thick sliced bacon
*Lettuce
*Raw Vidalia onion
*Salt and peppered tomato slices
*homemade garlic aioli
*Top bun

I’ve been experimenting with turkey burgers and i found adding a little dijon mustard helps with the dryness.

The Mrs does them with mayo and dried herbs mixed into the meat. Yogurt can be used instead. These burgers often end up with a Mediterranean flair. Red onion, feta cheese, etc. Delicious.
Favorite burger is a tough call. I’d probably go with a classic but mushroom swiss, patty melt, smash are all great to me.
