Yeah, I'm the idiot. 30+ grams of carbs per serving. Not healthy. You'd be much better off just eating a protein and veggie. There is no need to add a carb in.

Well on a lot of these items like rice a serving can be a decent amount. I normally pretty much cut all that stuff almost in half. It just nice to have a little something as a filler.

depending on your goals, 30 grams of carbs is not a big deal and can certainly be considered part of a healthy meal, especially carbs loaded with micros, such as quinoa

At least twice a week I'm roasting chicken quarters and serving it with a veggie. Rub in oil, season with what ever you like and throw in a 400 degree oven for about an hour. Then raise the temp to 450 for about 10 minutes to really crisp up the skin.

I like to do breakfast for dinner sometimes. Eggs/omelets, avocado, smoked salmon, turkey sausage, etc. I don't eat a carb heavy diet, but I don't avoid them entirely so I'll sometimes do a couple waffles with sugar free syrup alongside the eggs.

I know it's very millennial, but I love avocado toast for breakfast, with fried egg white and whole wheat toast.

Grilled chicken breasts or some firm fish and an assortment of grilled vegetables to go with it. I also like homemade soups like French Onion, vegetable, chicken noodle, cream of Broccoli, and my favorite is shrimp soup with a recipe I developed a few years ago.

I really don't go out to eat much, and when I do I don't really care what I eat since it is an occasional treat.

Well your definition of healthy doesn’t include carbs which isn’t the norm definition of what makes a food healthy. There is protein, fiber, vitamins, and much more. Just because a food has carbs doesnt mean it’s unhealthy. Im not sure why I have to explain this.

I like to do avocado toast too. Sara Lee and Nature’s Own both make 45 calorie whole wheat toast which is practically negligible.

Calf liver and onions is probably the healthiest thing you can eat. Add steamed red potatoes in butter and your favorite veg for the sides.

I liked fried eggs over easy with melted gouda cheese on top.
