octopus
When growing up, we used to eat dried octopus like a snack. I have consumed a lot of it. As an adult, tried to eat some and just didn't have the same flavor I remembered.
I used to spend summers with my grandfather who had a group of Korean friends, and they would always come over for a feast and gathering. Can't say I could identify a lot of it. Was a situation where you tried a little of something and you didn't like it, you just didn't get more, you went back for more of what you liked. I am certain, I ate meat, fish, and other things I would be surprised about now. I would do it again 100x if I could.

Javalina I shot in So. Texas. Removed the glands and roasted a hind 1/4 until 10 PM. Wasn't horrible.
I knew it wasn't great table fare when we offered a second Javi to a local and he said, "No gracias, es muy mal".

Raccoon sausage in Coushatta, La.
Calf fry just minutes after removing them from the calf. Throw it on top of the branding burner. Keep some cholula in the branding box.
