If I’m blending ice with booze and ingredients, what should I buy?

Vitamix is great but they're pricey
Ninja makes a good blender

Friend has a ninja that demolishes ice quick when we make drinks.

Fine with pricey if it works, but the models and prices are all over. It’s like buying a Toyota.

They work... I worked at smoothie king in college and that's what they use so you know they're good
If you want to spend the money and you think you're going to use it a lot, get a vitamix
If you aren't going to use it a ton, get a ninja
Im not a financial planner

Higher price is going to be better quality in most cases.

I have a Vitamix Bar Boss. Highly recommend.

Shows up on Amazon for almost 800 bucks. In the grand scheme, it’s not crazy. But what’s the difference between that and a 2 or 300 dollar one? Are there any sub-$1,000 daiquiri machines?

Buy a reconditioned classic VitaMix. Around $350 online and worth every penny. They have new blender jars, so no used parts that your food will touch. Like this: LINK

Vitamix for the win. It doesn’t matter which model you get they are all built like tanks and will last forever. Yes they are expensive but I got a reconditioned model from their website for around $350

We have a Vita-Prep (VitaMix). One 12 oz can frozen limeade, plus triple-sec, tequila, and 2 trays of ice. Turns to slush in 2 or 3 seconds. It's over 20 yrs old.

My reconditioned Vitamix is still going strong. Definitely the way to go.

I have had a forty yr old model that still works like it did when I was a kid. A beast. Worth their price longhaul.
Granted, I've used a Jay Kordich Juiceman, and Oster(izer) blender to save wear and tear on the Vitamix over the years.
