I’m having trouble deciding what to cook. I asked my old man what he wants and was no help saying “I’m fine with whatever”

I want to go Saturday and catch me some crabs and then boil them Sunday. We'll probably end up at my in-laws eating spaghetti or some bullshite though.

Going to do a Tri Tip with a chimichurri and a cut of Iberico Pluma pork with a mustard cream sauce. Haven't thought through the sides yet.

Thinking about boiling crawfish. It would be the latest in the season I have ever boiled. Anyone have any feedback on this?

Same. I dont understand the big issue with boiling and eating crawfish later into the season. Yes a little harder shell but still very enjoyable

I’ve boiled mid June before. They’re big but the shells are pretty tough. Your thumbs might be a little raw afterwards. That and you’ll sweat about 10 gallons while cooking

I cooked a tri tip last weekend. Had some fresh corn so I grilled corn, jalapeños, onion and tomatoes. Shaved off the kernels and chopped the rest and mixed it all up. Added just a little sour cream. Everything was roasted so it had some color and extra flavor

I intended it as a topping for tri tip tacos, but it was a great side on its own.
