A 2022 Riunite Lambrusco. My cousin and I have a tradition, getting shitfaced on Riunite on Thanksgiving evening.

My pleasure. If there’s a better place to taste great Italian wines I haven’t found it yet and I love the enoteca in Greve.

I’ll be going outside and mixing a drink at my truck like most good Baptists.

We have a restaurant in town that sells wine by the truckload out the back door and it was one of the win

That’s actually pretty cool.

We usually stock some NV like LP or Taittinger for the holidays but with my extended family coming to our house this year I'll take the savings at 20-30/bottle since they won't care.

Yeah, I wouldn’t waste tattinger on annoying family members either.

I’m a Costco fanboi and found a Kirkland Premier Cru Chablis for $17. Only know a lil bit about wine, but have learned I prefer unoaked French whites. Excited to give it a try.

Mixed bag:
Ladies will be drinking their whites. Men will be drinking Pinot Noir, Merlot, and I’m sure someone will bring a cab. All will be consumed

Wilamette Valley Pinot Noirs.
American wines for an American holiday and this light red goes with turkey and dressing and all of the regular side dishes. Unless you want to go the Beaujolais route.

The 2001 Chianti Riserva was fresher that I expected. Really good but it can spend another 10 years on its side and still be great.

The Super Tuscan was a 2012 and was delicious but also has years left on it.

Had the in-laws over so I figured I’d pop a nice top. They tasted it and went back to their own fine Italian wine, Francis Ford Coppola

That’s a goddamned great bottle to open for them. No offense to the in-laws but you offered something outstanding.
