A lot of good replies... For the Manda folks - the pork or the andouille?

Seriously, it's one of the dumber things people do. If it's so great, just boil the shite every time.

Every time I have a boil, I do. What odd logic. Can we get your list of the one acceptable method of cooking a particular item?

Hillshire Farm. Can't stand the stuff otherwise, but love it in a crawfish boil.

Conecuh for anything else.

I usually cut up some Bourgeois fresh garlic sausage into about 2” pieces.
When it boils (cooks) the casing gets tight and makes it look like a little meat ball.
For smoked sausage Manda, sometimes a pack of third graders (lil smokies).

It's not odd at all. I bet you have boiled sausage exactly zero times when not having a crawfish boil.

Because it's good.

It absolutely is.

I also don't ever boil mini corns outside of a crawfish boil. I also don't boil crawfish outside of crawfish boils since you seem to be keeping track.

You're the one that thinks ingredients can only be prepared one way.

I like smoked sausage in the boil. The brands I use are Richard's and Conecuh.

Wow, lots of people do.

I have never said that. You made that up in your bizarre dream world.

Yes, I can go on all day just like you

He's also saying he doesn't eat boiled crawfish if they haven't been boiled via crawfish boil. And to be fair.

I also don't eat split boiled corn on the cob any other time of the year. It's always whole and grilled. I also don't eat boiled whole red potatoes with my hands any other time of the year. I also don't eat boiled garlic cloves any other time of the year.

smoked sausage, not the cheapest, but certainly not Laplace andouille that runs close to $7 a lb. now.

Just don't do like my brother-in-law did once. He threw in those cheap arse hot dogs that sell for less than $2 for an 8 pack.
