Just curious what types - not specific brands - of sausage people use in their boil?

To each his own but my experience is deer sausage in a boil turns out mealy. I'd much rather deer sausage grilled.

For a crawfish boil I like to use a mild sausage. Kielbasa or regular smoked pork. Little smokies/cocktail weenies are good too.

None, I put hotdogs in it though. Dont really like the texture of boiled sausage.

I don't drop sausage until about 10 mintues before I pull the basket. More and it overcooks already cooked sausage.

Manda's good and it's not expensive but DD out of Bogalusa is our current favorite.

Man I do not like Manda sausage at all. Even in a crawfish boil.
