I had a meatball poboy from Pocorello's for lunch the other day. When I got home for dinner my wife said "I have a ladies dinner at church, I had a coupon from Subway so I stopped and got you a meatball foot long for dinner".

I grudgingly ate about 3 bites of that abortion, which might not have been so awful if I had not had the best there is for lunch, this is what cell phones are for.

Top 7, order is depending on mood:

Pokie's poboy
N.O. poboy Philly Cheese steak.
Crabby Jack's shrimp poboy
Parkway RB
Oyster poboy Drago's
Pokie's muff
Reuben from deli in Morton Salt Bldg, Chicago
Chicken & Cheese poboy Brewbachers

I don't count soft shell crab poboy as a sandwich because the point isn't the sandwich, its the soft shell crab, if you know what I mean.

I'm a pretty big fan of the Italian at Newk's.

Wish they'd hurry up and build a Newk's in BR.

ETA: And the oyster po-boy from Great Southern Cafe in Seaside, FL.

I think the Cubana from Butcher is my favorite sandwich. The eggplant poboy from Digiulio's is a close second.

1) Grilled grouper (most restaurants along the FL Gulf Coast). Simple as can be but so good.

2) Grilled yellow-fin with white remoulade (Southside, Slidell)

Goodwood Grill's Shrimp Philly!

Believe it or not, the grilled grouper with grilled onions at Hooters is terrific.

Had it a few years ago and thought it was okay. Will have to give it another shot. I've been using New Orleans Food & Spirits on Lee Lane as a mainstay. I havent' had a Schwing's Oyster Poboy in years, anybody that can rate it?
