I hated those individually wrapped Jawbreakers, I'd trade them for candy corn in a heartbeat.

I don’t mind tootsie rolls, but I feel like that is the cop out candy. “Oh shite, I forgot to get candy let’s just grab some tootsie rolls”

I’m with Walt. When someone tossed those black and orange candies into my plastic pumpkin, I was filled with anger and resentment.

It seems like the Halloween candy selection is much better curated these days than when I was a kid. Very rare to get those dud candies in the bag.
I always skipped those generic orange and black wrapped ones when I was a kid, but I think they were actually pretty decent.

The dentist in the neighborhood when I was young would give full sized candy bars with his branded toothbrush taped to it.

They call those peanut butter kisses. Nasty. Used to be made by NECCO. Also made Mary Janes on the same production line. Another disgusting candy
