Grew up on it, and it gets me by with lunch on a budget. And when it's fried in "good" grease, it's legit.

Thoughts?

Nah. I think it is too greasy and lacks flavor.

I will take Popeyes.

bubbleguts. Every time. If it's an aquired tolerence, it's not good enough to go through the pain.

If you can tolerate it or like it, eat it.

We only have fried chicken about once a month but Lucy and I both agree that the best around here is Walmart. Popeye's would be second choice, Church's No. 3 and KFC No. 4. Brookshires and Albertson's aren't fit for the dogs.

Thursday night is cray cray, I'm a popeyes and a Chicken Shack(BR) Guy. Grew up on KFC in the Bucket. Albertsons on Foster(BR) makes a mean fried chicken.

My best Bud is a Church's Guy.

Fanatic probably better describes him.

He loves the stuff. I'm a Popeye's guy - mostly for the red beans side I always get, plus teh extra red beans side I get if the wife isn't paying close attention.

I usually tell her they made a mistake when they sold me the extra one.

Do they still have the gallon jar of whole Jalapinos on the counter at church's?

Nothing better than a big bite of church's chicken chased down with half a Jalapino pepper.

According to my parents, I loved Church's as a little kid. I keep on meaning to pick it up again, but I haven't yet.
Interesting side note: I remember reading a story in a business magazine years ago that there were a lot of Muslims who were investing in Church's. They don't sell alcohol or pork products, and they don't offer credit cards (charging interest is against Islamic law)

I don't like Church's chicken. Had it a few times and it wasn't that good to me.

Popeyes is better, but a local mom n pops joint blows all the chain chicken places away, complete with livers and gizzards!

It's the only food chain in town where the employees and work conditions are worse then Burger King & Popeyes.
