What has happened to Parish Biscuit?

Stopped by to eat an early lunch today, 11am’ish. Man, is that place ghetto now. Fat-assed chick in a way too small romper, arse cheeks hanging out. African-Americans at least 3-1 in the dining area. And, did I mention loud?
I used to really like that place, have had it on our usual rotation, may have been our last visit. Food continues to be delicious, tho…

So the food is good but you’re mad because black peoples were there?

Not at all. The food is delicious, I don’t have a problem with the color of anyone’s skin, but the way that they dress and act, I certainly do…

(Before everybody gets mad, I don't have a problem with it. I'm just curious.)
Why is Parish Biscuit so popular with blacks now? The Oil Center doesn't seem otherwise to be super popular with blacks. It's not like a lot of blacks eat at Antoni's or Hub City Diner or shop at Champagne's.

the virtue signalers are downvoting you but “ghetto” doesn’t have to mean, and honestly shouldn’t mean, “black people eat there”. And if it is ghetto I won’t eat there either
Hammond has a couple places like that. Good food but I’m not gonna eat there and look at/listen to that trashy shite.

So you don’t like blacks or fats?
How do you feel about the Jews?

I noticed that at Ruby Slipper in Lafayette. Kind of a ghetto crowd. And the food isn’t that great.

It's the culture, not the color. The culture wears pajama pants and slippers, talks on speakerphone, and curses out loud with no regard to anyone around them. Ghetto trash ruins every place they invade.

You obviously didn't his response. Reading is your friend. Try it out next time!

You just described my initial experience, after checking into a hotel, with this type of person coming out of the elevator, on their way to grab hotel breakfast.

I travel to Lafayette weekly for work & Parish Biscuit is a bit overrated IMHO. It’s fine, but I don’t see the hype.
……Edie’s is overrated too….there, I said it! Fight me.

But do they frequent T-Coon's?
Posted on 7/5/26 at 12:24 pm to kook
T-Coons is a great traditional breakfast. We go there often for Sunday lunch. Unfortunately, it has not seen the volume it use to maybe 10-15+ years ago. The owner is friendly and we’ve had small talk occasionally, and it sounds like they are barely staying afloat.

Not really. T-Coons is more of the geriatric crowd. Lafayette’s version of Peppermill (RIP).
