I’m making a pot of chili this weekend. I normally don’t put much thought into the chili powder and just grab the first one I see off the spice isle. But I’m willing to try a certain one if it really does make a difference.

Is this in the Indian Ocean?

To answer your question, I don’t have any particular brand loyalty when it comes to buying chili powder.

Mexene and use the recipe on the bottle. Easy and delicious.

Carroll Shelby’s is one I’ve found to like pretty well.

In the past I have used Mexene with good results.

But honestly, I really just enjoy using Cajun Power for chili now and making it exactly as shown on the back of the jar.

For regular chili powder, I think it's just what we get from Aldi.

But we also have ancho chili powder and hatch green chili powder we bought online (Thrive Market, I think). I'll be using a combo of those for my chili on Saturday.
