Correct. Mosca's is in Waggaman, not Avondale.

it has been closed for a long time, but had a great lunch at uglesich's back in the day with my grandparents before they passed.

not the fanciest, but damn good food and fond memories.

Yes. The current Clancy's is really from the early to mid 80s when the modern creole bistro came to be. The very first one was Bouligny. Followed by Gautreau's, Clancy's, Upperline and Brightsen's.

I knew that would get posted, even though they closed it just before Katrina. I knew the owners real well. They made a mint off their cookbooks. Also towards the end they were contracting parties for celebrities at a pretty penny in that little dive.

the restaurant that’s there now has only been there for about 40 years

Before that it was basically a bar that served sandwiches
