Agreed.

And add Hot Hot Fish Club to that. Worst meal I've had in a while.

The bread they use for their sandwiches is absolute crap and so is the cheese they use for the "special".

Best thing I had with my lunch was the Zapps.

I thought FIG in Charleston was good, but not worth a 3 month wait for a table.

I also lived in Lafayette for a long time but only had Judice Inn about five times. I'm wondering if the hype was due to only having a couple of burger options in the area when it 1st opened. I'm not sure how long it's been around but guessing 50+ years.

I haven't been to an Olive Garden in over 10 years but seems like a lot of people like it. That would make my list if it qualifies.

Is that the self-important one that was on Chartres that closed, I think Sylvain is there now?

If so I can agree it would have been a disappointment, you better have some seriously good food to have the balls to serve Cristal among your house wines. I admit we stumbled onto it in about 2009 or 2010 so I didn't go in with any real expectations other than the menu prices. The food did not live up to the literal white glove service.

PF Chang's. While it's not a 5 star it gets a lot of hype. I didn't see much diff. b/t it and run of the mill Asian cuisine places.

I agree. Ate at one in Vegas and Panda Express is better IMO

Drago's if you're not eating oysters, and I've never had their oysters, I just know that's what they're famous for. I've eaten off the menu once or twice and wasn't impressed.

Second place? Judice Inn.

Yes, I'm prepared for Lafayette baws to downvote and get up in arms over this, but I seriously don't get the hype. It's an ok, mostly too greasy burger. Maybe it's because it was hyped up by people I worked with in Lafayette to be God's gift to man, but I couldn't wrap my mind around why people like it so much.

It’s pretty overrated for sure, but it’s still decent IMO.

Shake Shack and In-n-out. I think 5 guys is much better than both of them for various reasons.

5 guys has a better burger to me than either, and their fries as well. Shake Shake has good milkshakes.

In-n-out the buildup was too high for the product

Most people that swear by in-n-out have ate there many times or don't have one close anymore and that's why you see the cult following. When I lived by one I rarely ate it - not that it wasn't good, but because I ate other stuff - when going back out to Cali I will eat there once. I also hit up my skanky Mexican places for a good carne asada burrito.

You know food in Ohio is terrible when everyone is mentioning real restaurants and the bucknut mentions a fast food burger joint and 2 sit down burger joints.
