Some steamed jumbo head-on shrimp with cocktail sauce and a side of excellent hot tamales.

I steamed some shrimp for the 1st time Friday night, and they came out pretty good. I think I cooked them a little too long though. How long did you steam yours?

I made some jalapeno grillades with bell pepper and onion poboys with Pepper Jack cheese.

I cut the heat @30 seconds after the steam was heavy. I let them sit @ 5 minutes before icing. Taste was great, but a little difficult to peel. Likely should have cooled them sooner.

Agree that TigrGrl wins the thread tonight with those pics.

I grilled chicken and steak kabobs on the BGE and wife did baked potatoes and oven roasted asparagus. Very simple and nutritious.

Knowing that kabobs are the kibbles and bits of other cuts of those meats, we still buy them. Tonight, they were a little tough, laden with tough connective tissue that did not warrant the price point (the steak kabobs). It's usually a gamble, but I was disappointed tonight.
