Chicken thighs with dijion sauce. Smothered turnips and carrots with bacon. Salad.

Might eat this entire pan.

I'm giving you a green arrow because piss on the haters.

I had meatballs and a tomato gravy. The rest of the 4 clan had spaghetti and meatballs.

Cooked some underrated Baby Lima Beans with Ham for dinner tonight.

Grilled some boudin from Don's Country Store in Reserve and Venison Jalapeno Cheddar Cheese from Veron's

Also made some cornbread mini muffins.

Beans were delicious, boudin was nothing special, venison sausage was fantastic!

Browned 3 pieces of diced bacon, remove.
Diced 3 turnips, one big carrot, half and onion.
Cooked in grease until started to brown then added bacon back and put in oven until they were all well browned. Was wanting some root veggies and this hit the spot.

Maybe I'll post a recipe. But it is a seafood based ramen. I made Dashi broth (seaweed and smoke tuna flakes) and then steeped Shitake mushrooms, shallots, fresh ginger and garlic in the broth. After 30 minutes I strained the broth and cooked it down for an hour adding small amounts of soy, rice wine vinegar, chili powder and fresh ginger and garlic until I got it tasting the way I wanted. While doing that I sautéed each separately bok choy, sweet potatoes, bean sprouts, Shitake mushrooms and okra.... There was fresh okra at the store so why not? I also did and o er night pickling of okra, daikon radish, cubanelle peppers from my garden, baby carrots and bean sprouts. Baked some salmon for the protein. Had scallions, cubanelles and raw shallots too. Here is a Pic of most of that...this turned out really good for my first time making ramen.
