Made a leftover turkey sandwich for work tonight. Had ham and green bean casserole for dinner an hour ago.

Broiled boneless skinless chicken breasts, sauteeed spinach & mushrooms, a sliced ripe tomato.....someone (not me) at my house feels the need to reduce the carbs after too much Thanksgiving. Gonna wait til he leaves the kitchen and eat some pie, dammit.

My carb free diet started at daylight.
I seared a small venison backstrap in the cast iron skillet and then cooked down an onion and bell pepper in a garlic and butter infused chipotle sauce that I concocted. This is similar to my backstrap fajitas, just won't have the tortilla shells.
Mich ultras to drink. I meant to say low carb diet.

MY Thanksgiving Sandwich!
If there's one thing I really look forward to every Thanksgiving it's having my sandwich that evening or the next day. I've been doing this for at least twenty eight years and it's always delicious. This year for some reason it seemed to be especially delicious.
Some ten or so years ago I started toasting the cornbread dressing in a pan with butter.
The only thing I ever really change up is the bread I use. Today I picked up a loaf of Leidenheimer's Zip Poor Boy Bread. Because it so flaky I ate this over a large platter.
A light smear of butter and warmed the bread in a pan then add the cornbread dressind, stack on some warmed turkey and drizzle that with turkey gravy. The other half of the bread gets a nice helping of mayo and the homemade cranberry sauce. Gently add the top slice on and cut in two.
My wife took some leftover turkey to work for lunch and the first thing she said when she walked in this afternoon was "That turkey is soooo..... good!". I can't argue with her on that, this is one of the best turkeys ever. Absolutely delicious!!!!!

She is posting on facebook so all seems ok. I think her work is busy at the moment.

Thanks, MD. I'm glad she's okay! Sure do miss her around here, though.

Vallette is a great place. I met the brothers dad there. He flies tanker planes for wildfires and gets hammered when he isn't. Love it.
Try Scopa if you get back over there. Very small but good. I just grabbed a jar of lupini beans out of my pantry and am eating them for dinner since your post reminded me.
Enjoy Bottega. If you head up to St Helena try Goose and Gander.

Had a piece of toast with a schmear of fresh guacamole, and topped with a runny, over easy egg.

I've heard and read great things about Goose and Gander. Going to try to squeeze it in.
