I just stared a big pot of white beans with smoked ham chunks (as close to tasso as I can get here) and smoked hocks. I doubt it will be ready in time to eat for dinner so a bowl may be a midnight snack.

I am going to broil some scallops and bake a hunk of French bread for supper. Sliced radishes and hothouse cucumber as a salad.

Next the time heat the beans to a boil for five minutes, then shut it off and leave it covered for an hour. This will soften them enough to cook in a couple of hours.

Thanks man, but I am from South GA, the only thing we do fast here is run from the revenooooers



I am really planning on cooking them down for tomorrow nights supper, complete with cornbread. Beans are always better the next day.
