Good ol' rice and gravy here tonight with green peas and cauliflower with a light cheese sauce. Only coincidental if you've seen a post I made on another thread about the Christmas Day menu........ Check out this fresh head of cauliflower I picked up today. I was running hopefully the last of the before Christmas errands and saw a farmer selling fresh produce on the side of the road. I couldn't pass u getting one of these! This one measures 12" across. Gonna be a good side Christmas Day!

Can't beat locally grown!!!

Back to tonight's meal.

Was the A5 a little chewy to you? Had it two weeks ago and I thought it would melt in my mouth like a piece or toro would

See, I actually found it pretty melty. It was sliced fairly thin which may have helped. I did think I’d be able to eat it in 2 individual bites but it was more “stuck together” than I expected and I had to just go for the whole thing. TWSS?

Friend,

We shared a pound of smoked salmon.

Has anyone heard from our dear friend, Meridian Dog, recently? He posted the other day that he wasn’t feeling well. I hope he is feeling better.

Yours,
TulaneLSU

I agree. To me, it is the best restaurant in BR. Have you had the uni pasta? We went for my birthday in October and tried everything they had to offer on the specials menu and that one was interesting. I’m not big on uni so it was an odd one for me, but such a cool concept.

My favorite item on the menu is the bone marrow beef tartare.

I’ve had the uni pasta once and never gotten it after. I wish there was more uni flavor with the pasta, I was a little underwhelmed. The bone marrow can be perfect at times and also a little salty at times

Friend told me they’ll be adding cocktails to their happy hour soon. Another way to lure me into the door...
