I quit going to Ivars after the 3rd time in a row some bartender added extra gratuity to my bill.
They may have changed owners but the same old shite happens over there.

Was great, and they gave you a lot of food for $17.00! Got one of those fried oyster loafs, and ate off of it for three days.
CSB moment: Saw the whole LSU Football staff, and their wives in there after an afternoon game one Saturday night.

there are places that you can get the same for cheaper.
Where?
Not defending MA’s quality but I’d like to know where you get that meal cheaper.
Or at least somewhere not in some backwater town almost no one has heard of

Mike Anderson's was awful 20 years ago, I imagine things haven't changed much
It’s definitely been at least 10

I am far from a lard arse. If you think 4 shrimp, two catfish strips, a small salad, and half a potato is a lot of food then you eat like a fat bitch that just underwent gastric band surgery. I’m not saying it wasn’t a satisfying meal portion wise. I just made the comment that the portion sizes are smaller than what I remember. Lol you would swear every goddamn poster here is rich and physically in the best shape of their life. I say $17 in my opinion is a lot for what I got and suddenly I’m perceived as being poor lol. Unreal.
Oh my. I'm sorry, but for one meal, that's a fair amount of food, and it doesn't sound that expensive. You do indeed sound like you're fat and poor.

What’s a long neck at Ivar’s these days? $4.50? Haven’t been in a dog’s age. If the men’s room doesn’t smell like bigfoot’s dick, it ain’t real Ivar’s.
How many times have we discussed the changes since new owners Chad and Edwin took it over?
Friday long necks are 2.50
Tues night $5 Burgers and $3 pints
Wed $.50 wings and $6 big mugs of draft.
Thurs $5 absolut doubles
Sunday tons of shots are $2.50 which makes me very happy. Jameson and Stoli are on that list.
Food is good, very much renovated, and I haven't spent $100 in there in a night since 2013.

I guess they’re merely following their steakhouse counterparts.
