I used to get that also and their homemade tarter sauce was very good. I have no idea what that's like now or even if it's still served, but I would eat it if it is with some of their turnip greens.

I eat at the Dilly fairly regularly without shame. Depending on what you get, it's good eats.

My mawmaw got me Doug Williams autograph one time at Picadilly on a bank envelope. I asked her how she knew who Doug Williams was....she said she didn't, she saw someone else get his autograph and asked him who he was. She still didn't know but knew I liked sports so she got it for me.

RIP mawmaw.

Loved the roast beef as a kid (Delmont Village, Baton Rouge, North Baton Rouge) but found their etouffee to be pretty decent as an adult.

Damn, now I have to make etouffee. Just nailed gumbo. Can't get good crawfish here. Maybe shrimp or chicken.

I used to hate it but after going with my parents a lot I like some of their food. It's decent enough.

The one in Jackson also has breakfast on the weekend. It’s good too. Even has omelette station.

Our family went there in the late sixties, I see it is still open. Good memories, for sure.

I just remember over time their portions got smaller and smaller. They would put their sides in those tiny little bowls. It's was literally a small ice cream scoop of mashed potatoes and around 3 tablespoons of green beans
