Weber Spirit or Genesis deals?

I know the sales have to be coming up soon on these. Anyone have any insider info when we can expect a sale? I'm looking for a natural gas version

Webers don't usually go on sale, but if you're looking for a deal, go to Lowes or some other big box store and buy a floor model at the end of grilli g season when they need the floor space for something else. Sometimes they'll sell those for half off. Make sure sll the parts are still there, because sometimes people canibalize the floor models for grates, ignitors, etc... If its missing anything, negotiate a lower price or get them to throw in the missing part.

I was considering a Weber but decided to go with a Char-Broil tru infrared grill. Love using it and under $400. Can’t beat that.

Thank you, both of you. I'll check out that Tru infrared. I don use a grill that often but want one that lasts. I use my smoker more often

Yeah don't do Tru infrared. They fall apart in a few years. Weber will last you much longer.

You can usually find good deals on used Weber gas grills on Facebook Marketplace. I found my Summit series one that way. Technically it was at a garage sale, but she had advertised it on FB marketplace. I regularly see Genesis ones for around $200, and Spirit ones even cheaper. Even if they need some parts, that's still a good deal.

Lowe’s generally puts them on sale New Years, bought a genesis 300 level for 60% off

Lowes used to do 50% off most grills on labor day. I got my genesis 3 burner natural gas unit there @ 50% off.

Just here to say always spend a bit more and get the weber. The 10 year warranty is the real deal. Currently on year 3, weekly use....one burner was not igniting perfectly everytime....no problem...total replacement on them. Flavrorizer bars a bit corroded....no problem total replacement, on them. Weber is worth it!

You had better luck than me on my old Silver series Weber. They told me Flavorizer bars weren't covered under warranty and replacement was just wear & tear.

Interesting. I have a spirit II...I said they were corroded, they asked for pictures and the next e-mail I got was confirming that my free replacements were on the way.

I looked it up. I bought a Weber Genesis 3 burner at Lowe’s for half off on Sept 4, 2018.
It wasn’t a floor model. Brand new in box, just getting rid of overstock. I’d hold on for a couple of weeks and look at different stores.

I have a lightly used Genesis I need to get rid of, but it is propane.

Can it be converted to NG? I'm sure it can but does it have a drop in kit?
My current pit, 6 burner Charbroil, I've converted to NG by changing out the hose and drilling out the jets. I've done the same with a few others too. Only thing I've noticed is sometimes you don't have as much adjustability in the dials, if that makes sense

Weber does not make conversion kits, but they can be found by other makers. Not sure how hard it is to do. I'm sure there are YouTubes showing the process. I'm not real keen on messing around with things that can blow up though.

Not sure if you are still looking but just came in possession of my grandparent in-laws Ducane (owned by weber) natural gas pit. It is in excellent condition (not sure how old it is) if you are interested.
