I think it's sad that Zack's wife who is a grandmother still has to work the night shift so they can live in a "500K" house in Benton

The guy I think he's talking about (Gabriel Balderas) has a pop up type operation, but I don't think he has a truck. (Can't swear to that) But he has been at the Benton farmers market many times.
And now he is about to open a restaurant in Provenance, El Cabo Verde

Is this the thread where I talk about how great Bossier is?
Seriously, I don't even recognize north bossier anymore since they opened the best buy and target north of 220. All started going downhill from there in my opinion. I liked it better when airline north of 220 was a two lane road with median (if anyone remembers those days) and cow pastures. Of course, I grew up in Brownlee so I have skewed perspective.
Just have to push further north now...

I moved to the area from DFW about 4 years ago and because of the terrible public schools in Caddo parish, we had three choices: Stonewall, Haughton, or Benton. We chose Stonewall and it was a good choice. Lots of people moving down here from Caddo Parish. Not so many from Bossier. All we're asking for is a place besides Subway or a gas station to be able to go have a sit down meal!

Any public high school in your neighborhoods that you'd care to send your kids to? What district are the Provenance kids zoned for?

You are correct and I remember those cow pastures. There was once a clear and distinct difference between leaving Bossier City going north and entering Benton. That mileage has gradually been filled with apartments complexes and other commercial real estate.

This argument works in nearly every other city in the state except for Caddo Parish. There are magnet schools galore for every age range. Unless you're living in the ghetto and your kids can't pass the magnet test they'll be fine. I have a long list of former classmates who went to Ivy League schools after caddo public education - if that happens in Desoto or Bossier they'll put the kid on a water tower.

No you didn't unless they went through CMM and/or Caddo Magnet HS. The non academic Magnet schools are the pits. And CMM isn't that great since they use aff action standards for admission.

It's your assertion, moron, find me a link from a source that compares them.
I'll admit that Eden Gardens isn't the worst place to send your kids. My Grandkids are at South Highlands Magnet. They will go to CMM and then Caddo Magnet.
That is the ONLY path to Ivy League colleges in Caddo Parish. Hell, Loyola Prep is the pits in terms of elite college offers. They might graduate one Nat Merit every 3 years.
Edit: So, why did your kid go to Eden Gardens instead of South Highlands? They are both Magnets. There are no district requirements. South Highlands is WAAAAY superior. How come?

So did anyone ever get the answer to why grille is closing? And can't we all just admit there are nice places in bossier and Shreveport as well as shitty places.
