What was that? 40 years ago? And Broadmoor has only maintained and/or grown since then. Seems like you didn't know what you were talking about back then either.

I left University Terrace 20 years ago because I saw the commercialization moving in. I was right. I sold my house for waaay more than it's worth now.

My current house on the lake in Benton has tripled in value. I think I know what I'm talking about. But have fun in Broadmoor. There are worse places in Shreveport.

You're confusing 'Bossier Parish' with 'Bossier City'. When I use the term 'Bossier' I mean the parish. Nobody rich lives in Bossier City
And yet you're confusing Shreveport with solely the Broadmoor/University Terrace area. All the while conveniently ignoring all of the booming southeast Shreveport, where the majority of the white collar folks in our area move to or at least aspire to.

I talked to one of the guys who owns it last night and he said it just wasn't making money anymore especially in the last year or so. He seemed to think O&G being down was part of the reason. Also mentioned some litigation but I didn't ask for any details about that.

Public: Eden Gardens, South Highlands but I'm not sure of the non-magnet elementary school.

Private: St. Marks, Southfield, St. Joseph, First Baptist among others

You are about 20 years behind the curve. There are a lot of doctors (like my next door neighbor) who actually work in Shreveport. But they wouldn't dare live there.

University Terrace IS southeast Shreveport. If you got any more east you would be in the river. South of that is part of the annexation process that's been going on for 30 years to get taxation from white flight. The problem is that Shreveport is HUGE in terms of geography but not of population since people with brains are moving to Bossier.

That geography has to have police, fire and water, sewerage. It's been a total failure in terms of economics. That's why the cops haven't had a raise in 10 years. That's why crime is so high in Shreveport.

That's why the schools suck so bad except for the Magnets. Bossier Parish schools are rated WAY higher than Shreveport.

South Highlands is an exclusive Magnet school. If your kid doesn't have an IQ over 115 you can't get in. Both of my grandchildren go there.
Eden Gardens is not good.

Out of the privates you listed St. Joseph's is the best.

No, it's not. South Highlands and Caddo Middle Magnet are great and ranked very high. Eden Gardens is no where near Bossier Parishes top Elem and JHSs. Eden Gardens is for kids who are too stupid to get into South Highlands and don't live in the University Elem district.
It's a good niche school for a certain clientele. But don't compare it with Bossier Parish's best schools.

There are no food trucks in Benton. That's low class. Just like there are no food trucks in University Terrace or Southern Trace. Keep trying. You guys are really fun. It's like poking a monkey with a stick.
