I always feel trapped in the strip and I fricking hate it. Cheap steaks and beers at this place I go every time. It’s nice to unplug from the Vegas
Jackson’s
It’s in as a honky Uber driver explained to me the hood, but as far as I can tell the whole city is hood what difference does it make
Hash House is like their walkons but for breakfast. Big arse platters for not too bad

Really enjoyed The Capital Grille on the strip across from the Wynn and also The Mayfair Supper Club at Bellagio Las Vegas recently. Be prepared to open your wallet far and wide. For breakfast or lunch Mon Ami Gabi at The Paris hotel is great especially if you can get a table outside.

Just back from 6 days out there. Prepare thy wallet. We like Hexx for the people watching. My wife insists on Cafe Americano in Paris for breakfast a couple times per trip. For the old school cheap steak meal- walk around to the backside of Ballys and eat the steak special at Ellis Island. $12 for a salad, 10 oz top sirloin, baked potato and green beans. It ain't Ruth Chris but it ain't bad. For a special occasion, get a window table at Ruth Chris in Harrahs and enjoy the food and scenery. With drinks, $125 - 150 per person.

I know you’re just doing this to troll me, and I’m very upset that it’s working.

We enjoyed Wolfgangs Cut. Wish we had gone to Bazaar Meats also.

If you like sushi and don't mind a car ride, check out this place.

The most enjoyable meal we had when we were there in September was at Spago at the Bellagio. The weather was perfect so we sat outside on the terrace by the railing overlooking the fountain which erupted in to an elaborate light music and water show every few minutes. Fantastic food and atmosphere.

Go to the Golden Steer and sit in the booth that Sinatra used to use when he went there.
Food is great and the Old Vegas vibe is off the charts.

I also discovered Ellis Island just a short walk away from the strip behind Bally's if you want decent food for far less than strip prices. Get a flight of beer as they are a brewery. You can even drink their beer while gaming.
A short Uber away is the Hofbrauhaus for a German beer hall with live music and good food.
The key is to get off strip, sort of like getting away from Bourbon Street in New Orleans. I made good use of a three day bus pass.

Ellis Island breakfast for sure. In the Fremont area, Hugos cellar at the 4-Queens or Carson Kitchen. The 5-7 Happy Hour at the Strat is a he'll of a deal on drinks and appetizers.
