I’m one of those people that If I’m not losing weight, I’m gaining weight. So I’m constantly watching what I eat. But I allow myself a cheat meal or two a week.
Here lately my cheats has been either a loaded supreme pizza or the cheesiest nachos I can get from from a Mexican restaurant.
Let me know what your cheats are so I can get some ideas for this weekend

The Rock is the go-to expert on this subject. From sushi trains to peanut butter banana pancakes, I always appreciate his display of cheating prowess.

Ribeye with quail eggs, shoestring French fries with a sarcastic amount of ranch and honey mustard for dipping, finished with some cheesecake, bonus points if it’s fried cheesecake bites. Parsley on the steak for color.

Same.

ETA: I should correct that to “if I’m not low carbing, I’m gaining weight.” Even when I’m not losing weight, low carb eating helps me maintain control of my eating, even if I’m just coasting.

I try not to do real cheat days, just occasional, small, treats, BUT… in my head, I have been thinking hard about a Popeye’s spicy chicken sandwich. To make it ultimate, I’d want really good onion rings, like from Dwyer’s in downtown Lafayette. Or the skinny crispy fries from Pop’s Poboys.

Same with me……so I rarely have a cheat meal

But if I did I’d pick fried crappie, fries, and hush puppies!

I don’t diet but I do try not to eat garbage.
Except for when I want a chili dog…there is no substitute or healthy option for that

soft cheap bun
Nathan’s dog
chopped onion
cheap cheese
canned chili

Popeye's or lots of Bayou Hot Wings
Have to mix a decent amount of high ABV/calorie beers like IPAs in there as well, since it's a cheat meal

They have online calorie calculators that tell you how many to eat for maintaining your weight.

Look closer at his cheat meals and they arent what most people would consider a cheat meal. Its usually very macro friendly and healthier than you think. He isnt out there eating a bunch of fried foods, nachos, etc.

His last "cheat meal" was literally an eggwhite omelette with fruit preserves and english muffins. He essentially did a carb refill.

What’s his calorie count per day to maintain his weight? I think 2500-2700 calories is ideal for most people to maintain weight.

for the average man who has mostly desk job and maybe does some light workout stuff 1-3 x week then probably closer to 2200-2300. that might not sound like a big difference but over time that will add up to a significant gain in weight.
