I have tried both and frankly they almost become 2 different dishes.
I prefer without, more on the Cajun/So LA style rather than creole

What's worse is that Senator Bill Cassidy called in to WWL radio and the WH jambalaya came up.

Whole Foods sometimes has a Jambalaya soup too.
