Burritos where the ingredients are not distributed equally. Ain't nobody wanna bite of just tortilla and rice.

This is a big reason why I have started to get the bowl instead. If you want the tortilla you can usually get it on the side and when I do I make 4 mini burritos.

Particularly when you get a burger at a fast food joint and they give you three or four pickle slices all stacked on top of each other...off to one side not even touching the center of the sandwich.

"Fancy" burgers.

the most items a burger should ever have on it are

ground beef
lettuce
tomato
onion
cheese
mustard
ketchup
on ONLY a plain white or sesame seed bun

allowable additions:
pickle
bacon
BBQ sauce
1 fried egg

no chiabata, no bullshite sauce, no weird arse veggies, no fruit, no mayo, no sweet arse nasty bun, no, no, no.

My first thought when I read the thread title. Is it so hard to mix that shite up before you roll the tortilla???

Hell yes. I have an idea.

A burrito joint that smashes everything together Marble Slab style.

Haven't seen you around much. My SO and I went to Red Brick the other day and I was wondering if you had been since as I recall you live (or lived) on the west side.

He takes it personally if someone cooks with those.

Picky eaters that don't tell you ahead of time.

Once cooked a jambalaya for some friends coming over. All week I hear how much they love jambalaya and can't wait to eat it.
The day comes and they arrive and I'm still in the middle of cooking, and the wife sees me cooking down the trinity. The wife asks me why did I put onions, because she doesn't eat them.
So what kind of boxed jambalaya are you used to eating? I was pissed, especially when they left to go run to get her something at Burger King.

Your story sounds like more than a "minor food pet peeve." That's downright horrid.

Well seems like she is a dumb arse because pretty much everything she eats has cooked onions in it. I say I dont like onions either but that is referring to raw onions on a burger or something similar.

When House Salad or Side Salad is just iceberg lettuce, dressing, 1 slice of tomato and a few shreds of carrots. It's basically crunchy water with dressing on top. The same place that will serve me that is quite likely going to send out canned green beans with water logged bacon chunks in it's stead...

I know I'm probably in the minority but the whole idea of a buffet irks me more than it should. It just feels unsanitary, like we're all just pigs at a trough...

ETA: Also the kind of picky eater that refuses to try something just because they "think" they won't like it. Allergies get a pass here for me but I think allergies can be a convenient excuse...

Hard butter on hot/warm bread especially if the butter pats have been kept on ice.

I will refrain from expounding upon the issue of green bean juices running into my roast, rice 'n gravy juices or the issue of the stacking of a juicy protein atop a starch or vegetable such that the juices of the protein are sucked up by or mixed in with the juices of said "bed" of whatever rather than enjoyed with the protein. Well, these are more than minor pet peeves, so please ignore them.

Well, I didn't expound. I was very succinct!
