They are opening up where the old Stage store was, behind Times Grill. If you are not familiar, they have many large stores in the Houston area. Big selection.
I want to believe. Tell me something to make it sound truthier.

Wut? Not enough watered down crap on the shelves for your liking?

Got email from Ernest Burguires, Mandeville council. They voted on it and it passed.

Name one beer you haven’t found at these places?

I love the total wines by my house. A bit better than BevMo.... it still doesn’t get the hard to get stuff my local beer store gets but it has a pretty huge variety

I’m fine with good haze IPAs, but every damn brewery is doing them and distributors are overfilling the shelves with half-assed attempts.

Their wine selection is Stout at the Uptown Dallas location. Tons of imported wines and all the good Cali blends for decent prices.

Any Hofbrau product
Any non weiss Augustinerbrau
Scrimshaw pilsner
Beamish stout
Just to name a few. But, hey, they got that Abita Hop On and the latest cotton candy coffee gose from urban south!

Heard from someone in the liquor industry that they are looking for a site in south baton rouge also.

I understand what you mean and I’m all for diversity in product too, but that will correct itself if the product doesn’t sell.
Ipas are on the shelf is bc that is what the current market demands. Even women and old people that used would say “I don’t like all those hops!” five years ago are drinking it now. Go to the beer store and you’ll see white-haired baws loading up carts of Ghost and Jucifer. They used to drink Bud Light and the occasional Blue Moon
Trends are cyclical and shifts will happen in the industry, but I feel like with minimal effort you wont be missing out on other beer types - your favorite brewery just might not have the capacity to sell as many goses and milk stouts.

Beamish stout
Gee, I can't imagine why that's hard to find at any of your local retailers

I don’t want a ton of goses and milk stouts.
I just want a nice selection of good, normal West Coast/traditional style IPAs, and good traditional stouts without yogurt, marshmallows and watermelon seeds thrown in.

We are getting one here in Lafayette too and I hope they can bring something new to the table. It’s the same selection at every place in town

I'm not sure how much different it can get. Louisiana politicians like to have the free market stifled by still requiring breweries and (I think wineries) to go through a middle man distributor for their products to reach store shelves.
And Shilling Distributing and others in that business will keep hosting campaign events and loading up political donations (cash and in-kind) to keep it that way.

I’ll probably just keep getting it shipped directly to me
