I will admit. St Vincent is only ahead because it is a full size burger and the bun is legit.
The whole thing together....not for me. I appreciated it, but not enough meat to make my top 10 (maybe 20) in the city.

Which is why you gotta know more about the burger and just picking off a list by ranking without getting the whole description is a bad idea.
If you like a smashburger some will be much more your style.
If you like a real hamburger then smashburgers are just going to be a mess.
Someone is going to go get one of those district nickle burgers and be pissed they wasted a burger opportunity.

The place they have for Indy, Workingman's Friend, is legit. Ate there not long ago.

Yeah both Alabama and Texas on the list are very good. Best burger is always a personal preference, so I am sure there are people on here who will disagree with any of the burgers on the list. But no one can complain about the ones they listed for bama and texas.

Guess it's impossible for some dude from LA to move to Alaska and start a burger place?
Back Forty makes a good burger and has a great venue. Not a fan of their beers though. Just like another poster said, the 'best' burger is subjective.

Yea I don't even think Back 40 is the best burger in Bham, let alone the state. I say that and think it is a fantastic burger. It really is. There are just better.

Will be having one this weekend. Never was a big fan of their BBQ, but the burger is great.
