My wife's friend had her rehearsal dinner there a few months back. The fish I had was very good, and everyone else seemed to enjoy the experience. Not sure how helpful that experience is though.

It's thoroughly mediocre just like all of the other places owned by Creole Cuisine Restaurant Concepts. Not awful by any means, but there are much better options.

Speaking of that dude, who advertises for Parran's Po Boys (even though he insists on saying "poor boy")

How is Parran's? I never went to Metairies just for a po-boy but now Parran's down my street.

It's good. I think there are better options for seafood po boys near their new Prytania location, but I like their veal/chicken parm po boys and red beans and rice.

Agree. I’ve always liked/appreciated Parran’s for the NON po-boy menu items. Their italian dishes are pretty great for a little place like that.

I used to love it when Tommy owned it and it was at its peak. Regardless of how good the restaurant is these days, all bets are off for Mother's Day.

Was a hidden gem about 10-15 years ago, used to take dates there.. but haven’t been in about 10 years. Sounds like I haven’t missed anything

I think the chef who used to work at Tommy’s during their heyday left, now at Annunciation. I find it hard to support the Creole Concept guys, think it’s just a front for drug money or something.

Parran’s is good.

I went again in February and it was good.

Granted I've never been there sober. I was already toasty and had about 4 sazeracs.

Tommy's back in the pre-Katrina days was excellent, with a terrific menu and polished service. It's a joke now.

Wasnt the story that Tommy was married to Irene, divorced and he opened Tommy's?

Not sure why the hate, but we had a great experience... table of 8, and everyone was quite pleased.

Apps: Tommy’s oysters, calamari (marinara was perfect

Salads: tomatoes w buretta; wedges; Caesar’s

Entrees: veal piccata; fish Capri ((drum); cioppino; roasted, glazed duck

Service was timely and professional.

Maybe the new ownership group has gotten its act together.
