Somebody called in a few weeks ago and asked What restaurant had the best dish in the city AND the worse dish in the city. The callers reasoning was that he was taking his mother in law out to dinner and he wanted to eat something good but wanted to suggest a dish for her that was terrible

I was listening one time and a guy called in and asked for a good Italian restaurant. Tom recommend Andrea's (no surprise) and started describing it to the guy, when the guy cut him off and said "Andrea's...isn't that the place where the chef stirs the red sauce with his cock?"
Tom was speechless. I'm not a fan of his.

I've listened to him a few times. Can't really stand it. Can't pronounce po-boy, annunciates every vowel in New Orleans, and is usually begging people to call in.
The one time I liked the show, someone thought they were calling WWL to talk about the Mandeville mayor after he crashed through the toll booth on the Causeway. Fitzmorris had no idea what he was talking about, and even asked if the mayor had gone out to eat beforehand. Eventually, the producer alerted him that the guy had called the wrong show

Lester Earl summed it up best. He know his shite but is kind of a pain in the arse to listen to and deal with. He has been run off of message boards and had some great prank calls done in him over the years.
He has been on the air for something like 27 years and made it through three different ownership changes of some form or another. His show sells advertizing pretty good, so he is doing something right. He also has a very good cook book and what is said to be a good book called Hungry Town.
