Squirrel. Fried squirrel, squirrel dumplings...
Grew up in the country at the end of the age when most country folks were pretty much self sufficient. Everybody raised a big garden, everybody hunted and fished and ate what they caught or killed. Most folks raised hogs for meat. My grandmother would go out in the yard and catch a chicken, wring its neck, pluck it and fry it.

I still love making chefboyrdee Pizza. I make the crust in a large square pan. My friend showed me how to doctor up the pizza. He puts a pound of good ground meat on top of the crust. The ground meat has about a teaspoon of anise seed in it before you cook it. He then puts pepperoni on top of the ground beef. He then puts raw sliced onions on top of the beef, canned mushrooms on top of that and any other thing that the person who gets the pizza wants.on the pizza.. He then uses fresh mozzarella to put on top. He said that he puts two cups of cheese on the top of the pizza. He bakes it in the oven for fifteen minutes. When I first tasted his pizza, I thought that he got it from the now closed pizza place on government street. His pizza tastes really good. Anise seed has to be blended into the raw ground beef. The anise seed is definitely needed to make his pizza. I made one about seven months ago and it really tasted good. I have to get off my lazy butt and start making those pizzas again.

Vienna sausage
I keep a stock of Vienna at the house and work. I'm somewhat of a connoisseur and have a pecking order that I like:
Hot and Spicy
Original
Smoked
Bourbon BBQ
Jalepeño
BBQ
ETA: Beanie Weenies are a staple of my childhood that I still keep around as well.

That picture is missing the cherries on top. I still have those from time to time. Brings back memories of the holidays at my grandmother's.
