Hate to say it but the pot roast at byronz is a pre-cooked frozen product that comes in a ten lb case. They simplty heat it and serve it.

There's nothing wrong with saying that. I find myself ordering that dish there quite a bit.

Bay Leaf is 10x better than Himilaya's. Like I said, their chicken tika masala might be my favorite dish in baton rouge

I think I'll take a guess that this dish will appear on your top 25 list.

I'm not revealing any spoilers. But there are a lot of dishes on my list that weren't named in this thread.

I also kind of stayed away from the higher end restaurants in my list

kind of defeats the purpose of top 25 then... since alot of the better dishes are at the higher end joints

Not really IMO.

There are some dishes from high end places on the list but it's not dominated. Just because it's expensive doesn't mean it's the best. The list is just in my opinion. I know many won't agree. But that's what makes it fun

You don't have to reveal any spoilers, but I'm pretty sure this dish is gonna be on you're list, based on you're previous statement.

So.............1 down, 24 more dishes to figure out.

Cheese Fries from Chimes

Wings from Hooters

Fried Shrimp & Onion Rings from Dempsey's

Chicken Pasta Soup from J Alexander's

Spaghetti, Baton Rouge from Pocorello's
Spaghetti, New Orleans from Maspero's

When I made the list I thought about foods I craves after eating them. I know I, like most diners, don't eat at expensive places 3-4 times a week. I also know the higher end places should be good. They are held to a higher standard ( and will be critiqued in their own section on the site).

I hope my list will male others go out and try these dishes if they haven't already. I also open to generate good discussion

Then you should change your title....Favorite 25...or 25 Most Cravable Dishes in BR....

If you are leaving out places like Galatoire's and LL, then you are not composing a TOP 25 dishes....you are composing a favorites list...JMO.

JMHO...its your list and you can call it whatever you want. I am glad someone is takiung initiative on the BR restaurant scene. Self awareness is one of the best ways to bolster the quality of a city's restaurant scene.
