Going to Napa at the end of next week and I have reservations for the wife and I at TFL. Can anyone shed some light on what to expect? Share any experiences? I know its a tasting menu and I also am aware that we will be spending some money (fine with that). Just wanting that meal to be a memorable one.

You're going to one of the best restaurants in the world. I think your meal will be a memorable one.
What to expect? Probably one of the best meals and dining experiences in your life.
Edit: Currently #68 for 2017. I thought it used to be ranked a lot higher.

Exactly why I'm going and I didn't need the feedback that it will be expensive.

I'm currently in the restaurant business and people take pics of their food at 75% of the tables I see. Is this now frowned upon?

there will undoubtedly be people (old people) that will call it "tacky"

Try not to worry about the price and do 1 or 2 of the supplements as well as the wine pairings.

I've eaten at 2 michelin restaurants and the service is really what elevates the experience from great to extraordinary. I've not been to TFL, but have been to Bouchon twice and Keller is a genius. Hold on to your butt.

I went there when I got my first job in the bay area. Expect high bills (500~ a person)

Eat a late lunch because if you drink there, youll leave super hungry. Great experience though.

I take food pics, don't care about people around me I may never see again if they frown on me at my table, taking a pic.
So yeah, take some pics!

Why do I think that the proprietorship of FL says "No Photos"?
That is my memory.

I've been to Napa but not FL. If they have some house rule not to take pics then so be it. But, that is ridiculous.

This article says its ok to take pics:
7 Things to Know Before Having 7 Courses at The French Laundry
A beginner's guide to dining at Thomas Keller's flagship restaurant.
5. Get social.
Each plate presentation is museum-worthy, but that doesn't mean photography is prohibited. Snap away. However, beware the lighting isn't great for taking food shots and the waiters discourage flash photography. So if you want that Look-at-me-at-French-Laundry-nana-nana-boo-boo Instagram post, better to take a photo of the restaurant's iconic signage. Suggested caption? "Finally doing the laundry..." (Ellipsis is optional.)

I went to FL a couple years ago and my wife took pics of the food with no issues. It is a long meal, I don't remember the exact time but we were there for about 4 hours. We let the sommelier do the wine pairing with each course which certainly added to the bill but it was worth it to let them take care of the wine.
As for the reservation, I missed out on the initial reservation time frame so I was added to the wait list. I got a reservation at the Restaurant at Meadowood as a back up but FL called me as we were leaving home to go to the airport to let me know a spot opened if I wanted it.
I'll see if I can get some of the wife's pics (of food, not her).

I went about 3 years ago. Reservations were late--like 9:30 or so. Food was really good as you'd expect but by the end I just wanted it to end due to a combination of it being 11:30 local (1:30 central) and experiencing a food coma. It's definitely pricey--I want to say it was almost $2k for myself and my wife. We were the last group to leave and the sous chef took us back to the hotel. I've checked the box and don't think I'll return if I'm paying

Most are self aware enough not to take multiple pictures of food at the FL
They have a nice little area outside, with the old brick and vines with a cool cooper "The French Laundry" sign built into the rocks. It's a great spot for a social media humble brag pic
