Growing up I used to live down the street. Good times at the Metro & Boot. The late late night pizza was gold!

Wasn't Waldo's penny pitchers or something on Wednesday nights?

Jimmy's was incredible. Spent most of 02-04 there.

I like their other places better.

And the boot sucks, even when I was in HS. TJ's was my go to spot.

I've had people not familiar with Louisiana ask me about The Boot, the look on their face when I tell them "too many high school kids hang out there" is priceless.

I preferred Bruno's and Quills back when I was under 21. I think Quill's is closed and/or a different bar now.

love the boot. the palms one block over isn't bad either if you're looking for Tulane girls.

Ahhhh the Metro, many a drunk night there. In HS we would frequent Bruno's, Hillary's and TJ Quills for Tuesday nights as a freshman

TJ's, Bruno's, AT II's, and Friar Tuck's(Carrollton location) were my goto's in high school.
A classmate my senior year killed himself driving home from Waldo's "Drink Till You Drown" special. I think it was $10 all you can drink. The city clamped down after that on those awesome drink specials like Drinkin' With Lincoln, $2 pitchers, etc.
Haven't been to the Boot in years, but it was never a favorite.

This implies you grew up in Nola but have never been to The Boot. If true, :mindblown:

I got the boot from The Boot many a times back in high school. 3 times in one night on a particularly good evening.

Not quite Tucks (RIP), but it will do.
