I see a new potato chip out at the store " Dirty Chips"
I try a bag an think instantly they taste just like "Zapps"

Checking the label they are made in Gramercy ?

Zapps now marketing a differant brand ?

I think so. I picked up some Dirty Chips at a deli in NYC one day and they tasted just like zapps, made in gramercy as well. I think they're marketing Dirty Chips as an "all natural/no preservatives" chip. They're Kosher certified as well.

Dirty Potato chips -307 E Airline Hwy, Gramercy

Unless they are sneaking in the back door and making chips at night while Rons asleep.

When you get a good bag of em, Zapp's Creole Tomato with Tabasco...DAMN STRONG...DAMN RIGHT

That being said, Zapp's does have quality control issues. Sometimes you end up with a bag that has absolutely no seasoning...the Kettle brand is more consistent but less delicious

I have always said this. I love Craw Taters but like you said. You can get a bag with so much seasoning , they're hard toeat. Then get a bag that tastes like lays.

I agree the consistency of seasoning is questionable sometimes. If I have a bag sit for a while it seems to lose some of the bite.

I knew Zapp's would get some run around here. Don't get me wrong, I like Zapp's especially during football season and it's teh chip of choice, but sometimes I'll get a bag that's too greasy and the next bag seem too stale, then bland.

I like me some golden flake hot chips. Zapps chips are way too crunchy, feels like my teeth may fall out when I bite into them.

I still like them..but in college (yes, back in the dark ages) you could buy these in huge boxes at SamsClub. So we were poor and there would be nights after going out that we had nothing to eat except this seemingly bottomless pit box of Zapps.

Caused me to burn out on them although I do still like them..just not #1.
