Absofrickinglutely not. No cheese isn't saving your taco though.

Corn tortilla, protein, onions, cilantro, hot sauce, lime...

Gaston, that is a nice, authentic taco. But, taco eaters our age know that tacos come in different shapes, sizes and tastes...To Each, His(or Her) Own...

Yup. Those should have a different name. I can't stand tacos. This is a taco,

What a waste of stomach space.

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. It depends on what I'm looking for. Cotija cheese is probably my favorite if I'm using cheese on tacos.

If they did not disintegrate on the first bite pouring all their contents all over me, I might like them better. OTOH, I simply prefer flour tortillas, no matter what Mexican form is used. After all, Mexican food is all the same-just served in a different form.

Tacos are pretty wide ranging. Depends on what's on it. Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Silly question.

huh? My guess is you have never had a good taco. I'm usually jealous of the food available in Louisiana....but we Texans have y'all beat hands down when it comes to tacos. Taqueria's in Dallas and other Texas cities are killing it right now.....probably the best food you can get in Dallas these days.

Cheese for breakfast tacos IMO. Prefer to not have it on "street taco" style.

But the peppers and flour tortilla drive it straight into fajita territory

I put those peppers on a lot of things. They are frickin' delicious.

That looks really, really good. I'm a cheese fan, but that right there is on point.

Tacos:

Cheese or not?

I say no.

You're trying to be a purist but then eating a flour tortilla.

Jax, that's a fajita you have there.

That's the way I made it. Other people were putting cheese, ground beef, lettuce, tomatoes, etc... on them.

I went the carne asada and salsa route. We didn't have rice, refried beans, grilled onions and peppers (other than the jar pickled peppers that I put on mine), and those things that I normally associate with fajitas.
