Taco Bell "chicken sandwich"

Saw an article about it last week. Was driving by a TB yesterday so figured I swing by and see if they had them. Since Columbus, OH is a test market for the rest of the country, sure enough they had them.
First off it's tiny. It looks more like a hot dog in a bun than a taco or sandwich. It's half the size of a hotdog and bun. It's basically a chicken finger so it's shaped like a dog as well.
Comes with some kind of chipotle sauce like Popeyes. If you get the spicy it come with two large jalapeno slices. The slices may not actually be that big but since the "sandwich" is so tiny the jalapeno's seem really big.
It costs around $2.50. For that price you get much more bang for your buck ordering a couple tacos. Even one taco will fill you up more than this runt.
If it makes it to your hood give it a try but I can't see ordering this again.
Taco Bells are obviously more abundant than Popeyes so I was hoping they came up with something to compete with their spicy chicken sandwich. Popeyes is still the reigning champ.

We get rid of fan favorites and we introduce a chicken sandwich, which is served everywhere else. Sounds about right.

It seems like Taco Bell is going the McRib route and creating demand by making things seasonal or bringing them back for a limited time.
At least I hope so. Give me my Mexican pizza and double decker tacos.

Yeah sometime last year I think
You don’t go to the Bell as much as me

I don't get it either. Get rid of the good stuff and offer chicken sandwiches. Who's making decisions for this place now ?

Well maybe if SOMEONE would've bought more Mexican pizzas they wouldn't have discontinued them, hmmm??

They claimed it was the packaging that was not environmentally friendly, but my co-worker picked up a protein bowl the other day, and what was it served in? A fricking cardboard box.

Just want to go on record that I loved the Mexican pizzas and I'm sorry that they're gone. RIP.
And they were always served in those cardboard boxes!

Without 1) Mexican Pizzas 2) Chili-Cheese Burritos 3) Double Decker Tacos, I see no reason for Taco Bell's existence

they got rid of the bacon cheeseburger burrito in the 90s but I remained loyal. They got rid of the double decker last year and I remained loyal. But if they continue to pump out cheese on pita bread and shite like this, ill...probably still go there. bastards

I tried it too. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't something I want from Taco Bell.

The breakfast Crunchwrap is probably the best thing on the menu now. Quesadillas, too. The $1 chipotle chicken wrap is good for the price, but without the pizza, it will never be. The same

Taco Bell was mediocre at best before all this new stuff but it astounds me how they would remove something that has been on the menu for over 30 years and replace it with some dumb nacho fry thing or a chicken sandwich which is at any other fast food place.
No Mexican Pizza, no go for me. That was the one good thing they had.

I can’t imagine anyone still giving their business to Taco Bell.
They were always marginal food but really jumped the ledge a long time ago.
