Bringing a crew of about 16 to New Orleans for our annual rock and roll half run this weekend. Most of us are early to mid 40’s and like to party. Need some suggestions for day drinking Sunday afternoon after the run.

Last year we grabbed lunch at St Roch before bouncing to Effervescence then Parleaux and ultimately Bacchanal. The year before we hit up Rusty Nail then Courtyard followed by the top of the Ponchartrain.

Looking for fun spots that might have music (a la bacchanal) this Sunday. We are staying in the warehouse district but can Uber a reasonable distance. Dinner reservations at Compere Lapin Sunday night.

Initially I was thinking heading up Magazine. At the very least we’ll probably start at Courtyardfor a couple rounds. Haven’t spent much time around Freret but that might be an option too. Outdoor is nice but not necessary.

Avenue Pub
NOLA
Miel
Tchoup Yard
Ms. Maes
St. Joe's

I would go back and forth between Magazine and Tchoup.

Kim and I went to Peche with some peeps recently, bar area, and then walked over to Meril bar, that was fun.

Cochon Butcher is another cool place.

For live music in the afternoon on a Sunday, Frenchmen St is what I’m thinking

We’re going down with a friend who’s running too. He said post-race, he wants to drink a couple beers at finish line, then shower up and head to Barcadia for a couple rounds. Haven’t been there before so not sure what to expect, but have heard it’s a fun place.

Lafittes Blacksmith Shop in the Quarter.

Locals, tourists, and a lot of people watching on the street.

16 people at Brieux Carre, and they'll be calling the fire marshall.

Isn't it Arse's first stop after Mass on Sunday? I want to go one time just to have a Beam with him.
